Himalayan Salt

Himalayan or Halite, a salt which most people, including myself, probably assume Himalayan salt comes exclusively from the mountainous region of Punjab State in India, but this unique salt which is naturally rich in iodine can be found in other regions of the world, including right here in Mexico! Though it is mined thousands of miles apart geographically, they are also mined in different ways, yet contain the exact same properties which includes the pink color caused by the presence of iron oxide, they both have the same chemical structure creating it's pure taste and infuse a rich flavor. Both also form a colloidal, meaning the granules are small enough left to be absorbed easily in our bodies. After the salt is mined it is then washed by hand and is left in a natural and unprocessed state which is why it is referred to as the purest salt on earth. Other ways this salt can be used: In "sole water" to flush out toxins, This specific type of salt regulates blood sugar and hormonal balance, Improves digestion, salt therapy for respiratory problems, as a bath soak, and Himalayan salt lamps are used to purify the air.
